Meet the Student Services staff below!

Mrs. Ferraro, School Counselor

Mrs. Ferraro is a New York native who came to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University. At OSU, Mrs. Ferraro earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Education and went on to teach business and career technical classes for six years. She continued her education and earned her Master’s degree in School Counseling. This is her ninth year at Eastland Career Center and she is excited to have a new junior class and to see the returning seniors!

Mrs. Ferraro works with the following labs: Aviation, Electrical, Graphic Design, Pre-Engineering, Robotics and Welding.

Mr. Miller, School Counselor

Mr. Miller is starting his eleventh year at Eastland Career Center. Before working as a School Counselor he taught special education for 15 years.

Mr. Miller works with the following labs: Automotive, Auto-Body and Paint, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Nail Services and Pre-Dental

Mrs. Younkin, School Counselor

Mrs. Younkin is beginning her first year at Eastland, but has been in education for 34 years. She graduated from Capital University and taught math for 20 years and served as a school counselor for 14 years at Teays Valley High School. Mrs. Younkin is very excited about her new role as school counselor at Eastland Career Center and looks forward to working with her students, families and staff.

Mrs. Younkin works with the following labs: Ag. & Heavy Equipment, Criminal Justice, Firefighting, Interactive Media, Medical Office and Programming & Software Development,

Mr. Claggett, School Social Worker

This is Mr. Claggett's, or Jon, first year at Eastland Career center. Before working here he worked as a job coach/teacher with students with developmental disabilities, and worked with middle school students to provide support and identify barriers to attendance.

Mr. Claggett is available to provide support and resources to all students throughout the year.

Mrs. Davis, Student Services Secretary

Mrs. Davis is starting her fourth year at Eastland Career Center. She is also currently taking online classes to become an intervention specialist. She is excited to meet all the incoming students this year and to catch up with all the returning seniors.
